Ramgarh, Nov 2: A joint delegation of IMA and JHSA, met Superintendent of Police, Ramgarh, Piyush Pandey and submitted a memorandum against the Mandu police action with Dr Syed Hidayatullah. Even after being introduced as Dr Syed Hidayatullah, a doctor, Mandu police behaved angrily like criminal with Dr Syed. They demanded strict action against guilty.

The Superintendent of Police shared the information related to the incident. Police had information that some armed criminals had left for Hazaribagh via Mandu and by mistake Mandu police detained Dr Syed. Police Inspector Mandu has apologized to Dr Syed for the behavior he has done with the doctor.

The superintendent of police requested the doctors present to share message to Dr Syed Hidayatullah, that the only reason for the whole incident was confusion. For this I and my police department express regret. The police department respects doctors. It has happened by mistake. He requested the doctors not to take it otherwise.

The Superintendent of Police said that apart from this incident, it is my endeavor that in the next meeting, considering the decision given by the Supreme Court in the Jacob Mathew case, as the basis FIR should not be taken on doctors without being proved by Expert Medical Board to be Negligent – a decision should be taken regarding this and instructions should be issued to all the police station in-charges under the district.

They demanded to nominate a DSP, whose contact number was requested to be shared with the President and Secretary of the organization – on this the Superintendent of Police agreed.
