Ranchi, Mar 8: The Deputy Collector rank officials have knocked the gates of the Jharkhand High Court yet again demanding promotions that have been delayed.

The Jharkhand Public Service Commission (JPSC) 3rd batch officers Rajkishore Prasad and Rashmi Lakra have filed a contempt petition in the Jharkhand High Court.

As per Anil Kumar, the counsel for the applicants, the senior officials of the state have been made a party in the petition. Advocate Anil Kumar has said in the matter of promotion, a single bench of the Jharkhand High Court had passed an order last month.

However, even after this order, the officers of the rank of Deputy Collector are not being promoted at the government level. Therefore, once again a contempt petition has been filed.

Notably, recently Justice Dr SN Pathak of the High Court, while hearing a petition filed for promotion, had directed that the officers of the rank of Deputy Collector be promoted within four weeks.

However, despite the order of the court, the officials are yet to be promoted.
