Jr Residents of MMCH Daltonganj threaten work boycott due to pending salary

Daltonganj, Dec 20: 22 junior residents of Medinirai medical college hospital in Daltonganj have petitioned the medical superintendent for their pending four-month remuneration (September to December 2022). They have threatened to resort to a work boycott in the hospital from December 26.

Dr Dilip Kumar Singh, the medical superintendent of MMCH Daltonganj said: “We have written two letters to the state health department to release fund for the remuneration to be paid to the junior residents here. We hope to get it before the end of this month.”

A senior doctor, Dr R K Ranjan, said the junior residents are losing patience for not getting their remuneration in time specially festive week is so round the corner. “We are assuring them of early solution to their problem.”
