Ranchi: In the 2024 JSSC-CGL exam paper leak case, the CID has sought prosecution sanction against more than half a dozen accused who are currently serving in government positions. The case investigation officer (IO) informed the court that action against these individuals requires official permission before prosecution, given their service status. Once the sanction is granted, the court is expected to take cognizance of the charge sheet submitted by CID.

Two Charge Sheets Filed, Strong Evidence Presented

CID has already filed two charge sheets in this high-profile examination scam. The first charge sheet names Gaurav Kumar and Abhilash Kumar, while the second includes Sandeep Tripathi, Manoj Kumar, suspended IRB jawan Kundan Kumar, and his associates—Ramniwas Rai, his brother Nivas Rai, nephew Kaviraj alias Motu, Robin Kumar, Akhilesh Kumar, Vivek Ranjan, Kaushalendra alias Rahul Kumar, and Krishna Snehi. CID has presented scientific and material evidence in court and detailed the specific roles played by each individual in the operation.

Organized Fraud Uncovered in Multi-Phase Exam

The JSSC-CGL exam was conducted across three shifts on September 21 and 22, 2024, in all districts of Jharkhand. Subsequent investigations revealed a large-scale fraud where aspirants were deceived and extorted under the pretext of receiving leaked question papers in advance. CID found that a coordinated gang was involved in selling the leaked questions before the official exam dates.
