Ranchi: The Jharkhand High Court heard a petition challenging the application of a normalisation formula in the Primary School Trained Assistant Teacher Combined Competitive Examination, during which JSSC submitted its response to the eight points on which the court had earlier sought clarification.

Next Hearing Fixed for September 28

Justice Deepak Roshan’s bench heard arguments from both the petitioners and JSSC before fixing the next hearing date for September 28. Advocates Amritansh Vatsa and Shubham Mishra represented the petitioners.

Petitioners Challenge Legality of Normalisation Formula

The petitioners had argued before the court that the normalisation formula applied by JSSC in the Assistant Teacher combined competitive examination was incorrect and against the rules, contending that the recruitment rules contain no provision for normalisation. JSSC opposed this claim, stating that details regarding normalisation had been mentioned in the advertisement, and noted that the Supreme Court had directed the recruitment process to be completed at the earliest. The petition in this matter has been filed by Girdhar Raut and others.
