Ranchi, June 14: The Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission (JSSC) has released the notification of the Jharkhand Secretariat Stenographer Competitive Examination 2022. Under this, the commission has invited applications to fill 452 vacancies on posts of Stenographer under the Jharkhand Secretariat Stenographer Service.
The online application process for this recruitment will start on June 28, while the last date for application is July 27. The examination fee can be paid till midnight on July 30.
Meanwhile, the link to take the printout of the dedicated application form by uploading the photograph and signature will be available on the website till midnight of August 2.
A link will also be made available for any incorrect entry in the dedicated online application form from August 3 to midnight of August 5. Candidates may correct everything except the name of the candidate, date of birth, e-mail id, and mobile number during this duration.
In the above-mentioned 452 posts, 181 posts are unreserved, 118 posts are reserved for ST, while 45 posts are for SC, 36 posts for BC I, 27 posts for BC II and 45 posts are reserved for the EWS category.
In addition to the prescribed qualification, it will be mandatory for the candidates to have passed Matriculation and Intermediate from a recognized educational institution of Jharkhand along with knowledge of local customs, language and environment. However, candidates of the reservation quota will be exempted from this.
There will be two phases of exams for appointment to the above posts. The first exam will be taken on OMR sheets, wherein candidates will answer two papers. All questions will be objective type and multiple choice answers based. Three marks will be awarded for each correct answer, while one mark will be deducted for each wrong answer. There will be three papers in the written examination. The second phase will be written and will also have two papers.
Notably, the minimum age limit set for the candidates appearing for the exam is 21. Meanwhile, for the calculation of the maximum age limit, the reference date has been fixed as January 25, 2016. Apart from this, the maximum age limit is set differently for different categories. Here, the maximum age is 35 for the general and EWS category, 37 for BC I and BC II, and 38 for women of general, EWS, BC I and BC II categories, while 40 is the age limit for SC and ST candidates.
