JSSC Junior Translator Exam: Applications Open From July 5

Ranchi: The Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission (JSSC) has released the new application dates for the Junior Translator Competitive Examination-2023 (Regular) to fill 13 vacant posts through direct recruitment. Interested candidates can apply online from July 5 to August 4. The last date to pay the examination fee is August 6, 2025 (midnight), while the deadline to upload photographs and signatures is August 8, 2025 (midnight). Applicants will have the chance to edit their forms between August 9 and August 10, 2025. Earlier, the application link could not go live due to technical reasons.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must have a postgraduate degree in Hindi or English from a recognised university, with either Hindi or English studied as a compulsory or elective subject at the graduate level. Alternatively, those who studied through the medium of Hindi or English at the graduation level must also have a master’s degree or equivalent in the other language.

Experience and Age Limit

Applicants must hold a recognised diploma or certificate in Hindi-English translation or have at least two years of experience translating from Hindi to English or vice versa. The minimum age for applicants is 22 years and the maximum is 35 years, calculated as of August 1, 2023. Reserved categories (SC/ST/OBC/women/persons with disabilities) will get age relaxations as per government norms.
