Ramgarh, July 26: Kargil Vijay Diwas was celebrated today at DAV Barkakana. The war of Kargil lasted for about 60 days between the army of India and Pakistan on the hills of Kargil. India became victorious on this day.
NCC ANO Santosh Gupta and NCC Cadre brought the Chief Guest, School Principal cum Regional Officer Dr Urmila Singh to Shaheed Bedi Amar Jawan Jyoti where flowers were dedicated by the principal. After this, all the teachers of the school expressed their respect for the martyrs by offering flowers.
Akanksha Rani of Class X conducted the stage. Manasvi of class X gave a speech on Kargil Day. Tanisha recited her own poem on Kargil Day. Nidhi Sharma, Dev Aryan, Shifa Faridi and Mayank of class X presented the sacrifice of the brave sons who were martyred in the Kargil war. NCC Anthem was presented by the NCC children.
On this occasion, the principal cum regional officer of the school said that today we should never forget the sacrifice of all the countrymen because of whom we sleep peacefully in our homes. It also teaches us that we should always be prepared. Enemies keep looking for opportunities. “Our future is in the hands of children, to keep it safe, first of all, you should have a sense of patriotism. Along with this, one should think about duty before rights. Only then can our future be secure” she added. Inspiring the children to join the Armed Forces, the Principal asked them to have a spirit of dedication towards the country.
