Chatra, July 26: A 12th grader Neha Kumari died under mysterious circumstances with her parents charging the warden of the Kasturba Gandhi Awasiya Vidyalaya in the Giddhaur block of maintaining negligence in this case. Sources said Neha had consumed poison in the school and when her condition deteriorated, her parents were informed.
Sources said Neha, a resident of Sinduwari Kala in Giddhaur breathed her last. Doctors declared her brought dead at Chatra Sadar Hospital at 8:15 PM on Tuesday night. Her father Om Prakash Saw said her younger daughter Anchal Kumari also studies in this school and she had informed them that Neha was not feeling good. Even other girl students also informed about it to the school management but in vain. On Anchal’s information, parents made a call to the school at 2 in the afternoon yesterday requesting authorities to ensure the treatment of Neha.
But he said the school failed to take any action in this regard making Anchal to make a call to her maternal uncle in Gangpur village. When her relatives reached there, the school refused to allow Neha to go with them but when they insisted, permission came.
A SUV was called and Neha was immediately taken to Chatra Sadar Hospital but was declared brought dead. Saw said if the school authorities had taken the initiative on time, her death could have been averted. “I want a high-level inquiry in this case,” added he.
However, warden Renu Kumari and teacher Neetu said Neha had a quarrel with her younger sister Anchal after which she consumed poison. But the school authorities are still clueless as from where Neha got the poison.
