Daltonganj, Nov 28: Sub health centre at Kechki under the Barwadeeh block in Latehar district has claimed to have created a sort of history by achieving 98% of first dose of vaccination.
Civil surgeon Latehar, Dr Haren Chandra Mahto informed on Sunday that the Kechki sub health centre has achieved 98% of first dose of the vaccination while it has achieved 51% of the second dose vaccination.
Civil surgeon further said that he has sent a letter of recommendation to the DC Latehar, Abu Imran for the felicitation of the two health personnel Anil Kumar (MPW) and Gangi Kumari the ANM for their outstanding work. DC Latehar Abu Imran confirmed that the civil surgeon’s letter has reached him.
“As Kechki is barely 14 to 15 kilometers away from Daltonganj many eligible here at Kechki were alert enough to have their vaccination done at Daltonganj,” said Medical officer in charge of the community health centre Barwadeeh, Dr Ashish Ranjan.
Ranjan said that our team made further motivational moves here and it resulted in such a spectacular achievement.
Barwadeeh block programme manager, Zia Ul Haque on being contacted said we had a target of 2,114 eligible at Kechki to whom 98 percent stand first dose vaccinated. It was all a tough task here but somehow it was done adequately.
ANM Gangi Kumari was contacted on phone by the correspondent but she said that she is in Ranchi today and her mother is in the ICU there in a hospital. Community health officer Kechki Meena Prajapati did not take the calls at all.
Grapevine is that the chief minister Hemant Soren may like to felicitate the two recommended personnel Anil Kumar and Gangi Kumari.
DC Latehar Abu Imran said we all look forward to it most eagerly.
