New Delhi, Aug 2: Kerala reported another case of monkeypox on Tuesday. Kerala Health Minister Veena George said that the 30-year-old patient is undergoing treatment in Malappuram. He had reached Kozhikode airport on 27 July from UAE.
Notably, this is the fifth case of monkeypox in the state. Earlier on Monday, Kerala had reported the first death of a monkeypox case in India. The 22-year-old man was a native of the state’s Thrissur district. So far, two cases have been reported in Delhi and five in Kerala.
