KIYG 2022: R Madhavan’s son Vedaant wins 5 Gold, 2 Silver

New Delhi, Feb 12: R Madhavan’s son Vedaant won five gold medals and two silver medals in the Khelo India Youth Games 2022 Madhya Pradesh.

Taking to Twitter, Madhavan shared the good news with his fans and followers that his son won gold for swimming in 100m, 200m and 1500m and silver in 400m and 800m.

“VERY grateful & humbled by the performances of @fernandes_apeksha ( 6 golds,1 silver,PB $ records)& @VedaantMadhavan (5golds &2 silver). Thank you @ansadxb & Pradeep sir for the unwavering efforts & @ChouhanShivraj & @ianuragthakur for the brilliant #KheloIndiaInMP. So proud,” he tweeted.

The pleased parent also threw in some images of his medal-winning kid with the note.

Netizens, especially those in the film industry, congratulated the adolescent after learning of the outstanding accomplishment.

Over the past couple of years, Vedaant has developed into one of India’s most promising swimmers and has already brought home multiple international medals.

Vedaant defeated local swimmer Alexander L. Bjorn to win the men’s 800m freestyle gold medal in the Danish Open swimming competition in Copenhagen. At the same event, he had already won silver in the 1500-meter freestyle.

Vedaant previously took home a bronze medal in the Latvia Open in March 2021, and at the Junior National Aquatic Championships the previous year, she earned seven medals (four silver and three bronze).
