Mumbai, May 4: Karan Johar announced on Wednesday that a new season of Koffee with Karan will not be produced. There were rumours a few weeks ago that Koffee With Karan might be renewed for a second season. Fans must be disappointed by his statement, as they will not be able to witness their favourite stars on the Koffee couch.
“Hello, Koffee With Karan has been a part of my life, and yours, for 6 seasons now. I’d like to think we’ve made an impact and even found our place in pop culture history. And so, it is with a heavy heart that I announce that Koffee with Karan will not be returning (sic),” Karan Johar wrote on Instagram.
An entertainment website previously reported that Koffee With Karan had been renewed for a second season, and that Karan, the host, will begin filming in May.
Notably, on November 19, 2004, Star World India broadcasted the first episode of Koffee with Karan. The final episode of the show’s final season, hosted by Karan Johar was aired on March 17, 2019.
