Johannesburg, Jan 2: Indian team head coach Rahul Dravid on Sunday highlighted the reason behind Virat Kohli’s absence in the press conference ahead of the second Test against South Africa. Dravid also said that he will attend the press conference ahead of his 100th game in the longest format of the game.
“There is nothing like that. He is playing his 100th Test match. Media manager decides all these things. He wants to come in front of the media just before his 100th Test match. Hope you all make it a momentous occasion,” said Rahul Dravid.
Notably, the Indian test skipper has played 98 Tests to date.
Interestingly, the Virat Kohli-led Indian cricket team will face hosts South Africa in the second Test of the three-match Test series, which begins on Monday in Johannesburg. If India wins the second Test, they will become the first Indian team to ever win a Test series in South Africa. After an emphatic 113-run triumph over Proteas in the series opener, the visitors now lead the series 1-0.
