For primary schools, the Department of Education has opted to deploy ‘Halcyon Heights,’ a happy learning experience activity. It will be used in grades 1 through 5 to ensure a better physical, mental and social development of learners. It will be introduced during the first period on all days.

In light of NEP 2020 with a modern teaching-learning strategy, which considers subjects like physical and health education, art education, and work education as scholastic subjects, due consideration has been given to these subjects in the modified period allotment for schools in Lakshadweep.
