Jamshedpur, Sept 24 : IMD’s Ranchi Meteorological Centre issued a forecast of light rain in isolated pockets of Jharkhand today.
Dry weather is expected to prevail in most places, said weathermen adding that one or two places including capital Ranchi might have the possibility of development of thunder and lightning.
According to weathermen, there won’t be any large change in maximum temperature during the next three to four days.
Today’s satellite pictures suggested that a low pressure trough was running from a cyclonic circulation over northwest Madhya Pradesh to northwest Bay of Bengal across East Madhya Pradesh, north Chhatisgarh and north Odisha between 1.5 Km and 4.5 Km above the mean sea level.
Data suggested that light to moderate rain occured at isolated places over the state during the last 24 hours.
According to rain statistics Jharkhand was still facing a deficit of 20 %. Against a normal rainfall of 977.3 mm Jharkhand has so far actually received 781.1 mm.
