Jamshedpur, Sept 11: IMD’s Ranchi Meteorological Centre issued a forecast of light rain at a few places over Jharkhand today.
Weathermen ruled out heavy rain in the next 48 hours.
The monsoon trough at mean sea level was today passing through Jaisalmer, Ajmer, Guna, Mandla, Pendra Road, Jharsuguda, Digha and thence east-southeastwards to Northeast Bay of Bengal.
A trough runs from above cyclonic circulation over central parts of north Madhya Pradesh to northern parts of Gangetic West Bengal across Jharkhand between 0.9 and 3.1 km above the mean sea level.
Meanwhile, the state’s rain deficit has come down to 32 per cent. Against a normal of 873 mm, the state has so far received rainfall of 591 mm, resulting in a 32 per cent deficit.
