Jamshedpur, Sept 27: IMD’s Ranchi Meteorological Centre issued a forecast of light rain in northern and central parts of Jharkhand today.
Weathermen said Jharkhand would witness restricted rainfall activity for the next two days because of a weak monsoon.
Heavy rain is again expected around September 30, Saturday.
Meanwhile, the cyclonic circulation over southeast Uttar Pradesh and neighbourhood now lies over East Uttar Pradesh and adjoining Bihar at 3.1 km above mean sea level.
Another cyclonic circulation is likely to form over the north Andaman Sea around September 29. Under its influence, a low-pressure area is likely to form over the north Andaman Sea and adjoining east-central Bay of Bengal during the subsequent 24 hours.
Thereafter, it is likely to move west-north westwards with the possibility of gradual intensification.
Light to moderate rain was observed at several places during the past 24 hours.
