Jamshedpur, March 10: Light rain or thunderstorm is likely to take place in isolated places over southern Jharkhand today.
IMD’s Ranchi Met Centre also issued a forecast of light rain in isolated pockets of the state tomorrow.
Meanwhile, very light to light rain with thunderstorms occurred at isolated places over the state in the past 24 hours.
The highest rainfall recorded was 5.0 mm at Dumri (Giridih). The highest maximum temperature of 35.8°C was recorded at Chaibasa (PTO) while the lowest minimum temperature of 14.0°C was recorded at Ramgarh.
Several IMD stations including Dumri, Himdigiri, Pathargama, Mandar, Jamtara, Latehar, Gumla, Hazaribagh, Bokaro, Godda, and Giridihand Ranchi recorded light rains in the past 24 hours.
Weathermen issued a forecast of a rise in maximum temperature by (2-3°C) during the next 24 hours thereafter no large change during the subsequent four days.
