Jamshedpur, Oct 10: IMD’s Ranchi Meteorological Centre issued a forecast of light to moderate thundershowers alert over isolated parts of Jharkhand today.
Weathermen said a low-pressure trough was today running from the northeast Arabian Sea to northeast Rajasthan across Gujarat extending up to 3.1 km above mean sea level.
“The trough would trigger a cyclonic circulation which is expected to result in a good shower show over the state after the next 24 hours or so, ” said Abhishek Anand, head of Ranchi Met Centre.
He said that the southwest monsoon will take some more time to withdraw from the state .
A statistics released by Ranchi Met Centre revealed that Jharkhand experienced good rainfall in the month of October.
Against a normal of 38 mm, the state has so far received 51 mm, resulting in a surplus of 34 mm.
