Jamshedpur, Sept 29: IMD’s Ranchi Met Centre issued a forecast of light thundershowers in several districts across Jharkhand today.
Weathermen said today’s satellite pictures indicated patches of clouds over several districts. Heavy moisture incursion was also taking place.
According to weathermen, there will not be any significant change in maximum temperature. In the next two days at least.
Meanwhile, Met analysts issued a forecast of heavy rain around Sunday.
“A cyclonic circulation is likely to emerge into the northeast and adjoining the east-central Bay of Bengal around October 1. This would result in heavy rain, especially in south-east, northern and central Jharkhand, ” said a climate analyst at Ranchi Met Centre.
Generally, a cloudy sky is expected to prevail at several places across the state including the capital Ranchi today.
The seasonal rain data of Jharkhand was still 21 per cent. As per statistics, Jharkhand has so far received 801.2 mm of rain against a normal of 1013.3 mm.
