New Delhi, Oct 25: The departing British Prime Minister Liz Truss praised some of her administration’s accomplishments in an address from Downing Street on Tuesday and wished her successor Rishi Sunak ‘every success.’
“Our country continues to battle through a storm. I believe in Britain and the British people and I know that brighter days lie ahead,” said Outgoing PM Liz Truss.
She also reiterated UK’s support for Ukraine and said, “We must support Ukraine in its brave fight against Putin’s aggression. Ukraine must prevail and we must continue to strengthen our nation’s defences. That’s what I’ve been striving to achieve and I wish Rishi Sunak every success for good of our country.”
