New Delhi, May 9: The South Delhi Municipal Corporation (SDMC) on Monday hold an anti-encroachment campaign in Shaheen Bagh, the epicentre of the large protests against the disputed citizenship law.

The process, which had been set for Friday, had been cancelled due to a lack of enough security forces. The Delhi Police sent a large number of officers to the demolition site this morning.

Meanwhile, locals sit on roads and stop bulldozers that have been brought for the anti-encroachment drive in the Shaheen Bagh area.
