Lok Adalat in Ranchi disposes of 56 cases involving Rs 1.23 crore

Ranchi, Jan.29: As many as 56 cases involving an amount of Rs 1.23 crore were disposed of in an online monthly Lok Adalat organised at the civil court in Ranchi by the District Legal Services Authority.

As many as nine benches were constituted to settle the matter related to Motor Vehicle Act, Negotiable Instrument Act besides similar others.

The most important case disposed of in the Lok Adalat was a matter related to Iffco Tokio General Insurance Company. The claimant received a cheque worth Rs 99.5 lakh from the company. The claim arose following a road accident.
