LPG Price: Cooking gas rates up Rs. 15

New Delhi, Oct.6: The common man’s pockets have been hit once again during the festive season. In response to the rise in international fuel prices, non-subsidised liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) rates were increased by 15% on Wednesday, October 6. A non-subsidised 14.2 kilogramme cylinder will now cost Rs. 899.50 in the national capital Delhi, up from Rs.884.50 previously. According to news agency ANI, a 5 kg cylinder will now cost Rs.502.

According to Indian Oil Corporation’s data, a non-subsidised 14.2 kilogramme cylinder cost Rs 884.50 per cylinder in Delhi, Rs. 911 per cylinder in Kolkata, Rs. 884.50 per cylinder in Mumbai, and Rs. 900.50 per cylinder in Chennai.

In September, oil marketing companies had raised the prices of non-subsidized LPG cylinders by Rs 25. Prior to that the previous hike was of Rs 25 on August 18, as per the IANS report.
