LS Business Advisory Committee agrees to hold discussion on price rise

New Delhi, March 28: The Lok Sabha Business Advisory Committee has agreed to hold a hearing on the country’s rising commodity prices. The debate will take place this week in accordance with Rule 193 of the Lok Sabha Rules of Procedure and Conduct of Business.

Speaker of the Lok Sabha On Birla is the head of the Business Advisory Committee, which includes representatives from all walks of life.

The Business Advisory Committee deliberates and decides on the topics to be debated in the House.

The opposition parties have demanded that the subject of rising fuel costs be debated in both the Lok Sabha and the Rajya Sabha. The Rajya Sabha was adjourned until noon on Monday after Opposition parties raised a ruckus about rising petroleum prices in India.

The 15-member Business Advisory Committee includes Sudip Bandyopadhyay, PP Chaudhary, Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury, Sanjay Jaiswal, and Pinaki Misra.

The second half of Parliament’s Budget session began on March 14 and will end on April 8. The first half of the Budget session began on January 31 and ended on February 11, with the second half beginning on January 31 and ending on February 11.
