Lucknow, Nov 17: The Uttra Ladies Club, NTPC Northern Region HQs, Lucknow on Nov 15 celebrated Children’s Day with 40 poor but bright and talented children. Most of the children’s parents had passed away due to Covid-19. The new Ladies Club premises have been inaugurated by these children on Nov 15.
Praveen Saxena, Regional Executive Director (Northern Region) inaugurated the program wherein, many general members donated kits for the children.
Uttra Club provided education kits like bags, and copies, among other things for all children. While talking, some of them shared their aspiration of becoming doctors.
M/s Robinhood Academy is working with these destitute children. At present, this organisation is working with 385 slum children in Lucknow and is looking after their basic needs. This organisation consist of members who are young and resplendent students preparing for competitive exams like CAT, UPSC, etc.
The program started with the lighting of a lamp by Sanjeeta, Vice President and core committee and general members. The whole program was conceptualized, planned and done under the able guidance and dynamic leadership of Neelam Saxena, President of Uttra Club.
In future, Uttra Club is set to plan more programs for these destitute but bright children in association with Robinhood Academy.
