Mumbai, June 30: Maharashtra assembly secretary Rajendra Bhagwat informed on Thursday to all state MLAs that as per the Governor’s orders, that the special session that was supposed to happen during the day will not be convened.
The special Assembly was scheduled today with the only agenda of a Trust Vote against the Maha Vikas Aghadi government led by Uddhav Thackeray Minister. Notably, Uddhav Thackeray, the leader of the Shiv Sena, resigned from his position as chief minister of Maharashtra on Wednesday night, ending the state’s political crisis, which had reached its second week.
Thackeray gave the governor, Bhagat Singh Koshyari, his letter of resignation. Koshyari submitted his resignation, but he requested that the Shiv Sena leader serve as chief minister until a replacement was found.
