Mumbai, Aug 9: The Maharashtra cabinet will be expanded under the direction of Chief Minister Eknath Shinde today in Raj Bhawan. Around 18 ministers are likely to take the oath today at 11 a.m. for the first phase of the expansion, with one minister for each area. Later, the second stage of expansion will take place.

Additionally, in advance of the expansion of the cabinet, the Eknath Shinde camp has arranged a conference of the rebel MLAs at the Sahyadri guest house. The names of the ministers will probably be revealed during this meeting by Chief Minister Eknath Shinde.

Ambadas Danve has been suggested by the Uddhav Thackeray faction to fill the position of LoP in the council. In this context, Uddhav Thackeray wrote the chairman of the legislative council a letter.
