Ranchi: The Chief Minister’s Maiyaan Samman Ceremony is set to take place on January 6, 2025. On this day, Chief Minister Hemant Soren will release the next installment of the scheme, transferring ₹2,500 to the bank accounts of approximately 56 lakh women across the state. The event, to be held at Khoja Toli Ground in Namkum, is expected to see the participation of around three lakh women.

Event Rescheduled Due to State Mourning

Initially, the Maiyaan Samman Ceremony was scheduled for December 28, 2024. However, following the demise of former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, the state declared a seven-day mourning period, leading to the event’s postponement.

As a preparatory measure, funds were transferred to women’s accounts in all districts on December 26-27.
