Mumbai: A massive fire erupted early on Friday morning at the Times Tower building located in the Kamala Mill compound of Lower Parel, Mumbai, triggering an emergency response. According to civic officials, the fire started at around 6:30 am in the seven-storey commercial building.

The Mumbai Fire Brigade swiftly declared it a level 2 (major) fire and deployed eight fire engines along with several other firefighting vehicles to the location. As of now, there have been no reports of casualties.

“Firefighting teams are actively working to bring the blaze under control,” said a civic official, adding that the situation is being closely monitored to prevent the fire from spreading further.

While the cause of the fire remains unknown, the building houses several commercial offices, which may have contributed to the scale of the fire. Investigations will be conducted once the fire is extinguished to determine the source of the blaze.

Residents and workers in nearby areas have been advised to stay clear of the site as authorities continue their efforts to control the fire and ensure safety.
