New Delhi, July 8: PV Sindhu, two-time medallist at the Olympics, was eliminated from the Malaysia Masters 2022 on Friday after falling to Tai Tzu-ying in the quarterfinals.

On Court 2, Tai Tzu-ying manoeuvred her opponent before drawing a mistake. In 14 minutes, she won the first game 21-13.

The following game was won by Sindhu 21-12 with her strong play and comeback. Sindhu compelled the decider with this.

When the game resumed after the break, Sindhu had a strong start to the decider and was still in it, but it appeared that she was becoming upset with Tzu-comeback ying’s and her own narrow margins with challenges.

The Indian fought valiantly but fell short 12–21. Tzu-ying improved her 17-5 record versus the Indian with yet another outstanding performance.

Later on in the day, Indian shuttler HS Prannoy will compete on the court against Kanta Tsuneyama of Japan to secure his spot in the Malaysia Masters 2022 semifinals.
