Man killed by father in-law for not eking out livelihood in Sahebganj

Sahebganj: Safal Hasda (35) was killed on Saturday night by his father in-law at Ranchara village under Borio police station of Sahebganj district with a sharp weapon.

According to the police, the deceased used to reside at his in-laws house for last few years as her wife Nanamay Kisku works in Keral as a migratory laborer.

“The accused namely Hadma Kisku who has been on the run to escape arrest remained unhappy with the deceased for not eking out livelihood and often indulged in verbal altercation with him over the issue” the officer in-charge of the Borio police station Jagarnath Pan said quoting the relatives. The accused flew into a rage following a similar verbal altercation with his son in-law last night and attacked Hasda with a sharp weapon resulting his death on the spot.

The dead body of the deceased, lying in a pool of blood in the courtyard of his in-laws house has been recovered by the police on Sunday and sent for postmortem at Sahebganj Sadar Hospital.

“Attempts are on to arrest the accused and recover the weapon used by him to kill his son in-law” the OC said adding that Hadma leaved his home on Sunday morning saying his wife to surrender before the police but did not turn up at the police station till the filing of the report.
