Ranchi, Sept 19: A man shot dead his beloved at Chalio Sahnai Toli, a place about 30km from the Jharkhand capital under the Chanho police station area.
A police official informed about the incident explained the circumstances under which the murder was committed.
“Raju Oraon was in a live-in relationship with Khushboo Kumari (22). He had kept her at his home in Khaksi Tola, a locality in Cholio village. Before Karma festival, Oraon had some dispute with Khushboo, following which she returned to her parents’ residence in Sahnai Toli, another locality in the same village,” the police official said.
“Today at around 9 am, Raju accompanied by his friend Sonu Oraon reached Khushboo’s house on a motorbike. Khushboo was in the courtyard. He called her inside a room and asked whether she was returning with him or not. As she said no, Raju took out a pistol from his waist and shot at her chest. She died on the spot. Leaving her dead, Raju escaped from her house with his friend on the same bike on which he had come,” the police official said.
An FIR was registered in this connection. An attempt is being made to arrest the accused.
