Maoists set a dozen vehicles on fire in Gumla

Gumla, Jan.8: Maoists have set over a dozen vehicles being used for bauxite mining on fire.

The incident took place at Kujam under Gurdari police station. Maoists had come in two SUVs to commit the crime.

A police official said that the squad of Maoist Ravindra Ganjhu was involved in the incident.

Locality residents said police reached the spot in the morning though the incident took place Friday evening.

All the vehicles belong to NKCPL and Hindalco.

Maoist have become quite active in Jharkhand. Recently, they had attacked former BJP MLA Gurucharan Nayak and killed his two bodyguards in West Singhbhum.
