Indian boxing legend and Olympic medallist Mary Kom has made serious allegations against her husband, accusing him of financial fraud, during a candid appearance on a popular television interview show.
Claims of Financial Misconduct
Speaking on India TV’s show Aap Ki Adalat, Mary Kom revealed that her husband withdrew ₹10 lakh from her bank account without her knowledge. She said he went to the bank early in the morning with his personal security officer and later informed her that only an old account had been closed and ₹30,000 withdrawn. According to Mary Kom, this was not an isolated incident and she caught him twice after she suffered an injury.
Clarification on Business Partner Rumours
During the interview, Mary Kom also addressed speculation about her relationship with business partner Hitesh Chaudhary. She firmly denied any personal involvement, stating that he is no longer part of her life. She clarified that her divorce had already taken place quietly, dismissing rumours linking her to her former business associate.
Truth Emerged After Injury
Responding to a question on how such issues went unnoticed during nearly two decades of marriage, Mary Kom said she became aware of the truth only after she was injured. She added that she believes the injury happened for a reason, allowing hidden realities to come to light.
Marriage, Family and Divorce
Mary Kom married Onler in 2005 after years of dating. The couple has three sons and one adopted daughter. They welcomed twin sons in 2007, their third son in 2013, and adopted a daughter named Merilyn in 2018. After nearly 19 years of marriage, the couple eventually divorced.
