A social media controversy has erupted involving actor Varun Dhawan and a content creator ahead of the release of his upcoming film Hai Jawani To Ishq Hona Hai, scheduled to hit theatres on May 22. The dispute began after allegations surfaced regarding paid fake reviews for the film’s teaser.
Content Creator Alleges Fake Review Offer
Content creator Simran Bhatt shared a video on Instagram claiming that she was approached by certain individuals to post a fake review of the film’s teaser. She said she informed them that she had not watched the film, after which they allegedly offered to provide her with a scripted review.
Simran stated that she rejected the proposal and questioned whether such promotional tactics were being used for the film. She also sarcastically asked whether Varun Dhawan now needed fake reviews for promotion.
Varun Dhawan Responds Publicly
After being tagged in the video, Varun Dhawan responded in the comments section, saying he hoped the video would bring her the views she wanted. His reply quickly drew attention and added fuel to the online debate.
Creator Hits Back, Users React
Simran Bhatt responded by saying she did not need such controversies for views and was already satisfied with her audience reach. Social media users have since reacted with mixed opinions, with some backing Varun Dhawan and others questioning the alleged review practice.
