New Delhi/Mumbai: Apple’s much-anticipated iPhone 16 series went on sale today, drawing massive crowds to its flagship stores in Delhi and Mumbai. Hundreds of eager customers lined up outside the Apple stores in both cities, ready to be among the first to get their hands on the new iPhone models. The iPhone 16 series was officially launched earlier this month at Apple’s Glowtime event, and the excitement has only grown since.

The Apple store at BKC in Mumbai and Select City Walk in Saket, Delhi, saw large crowds of fans who gathered early to purchase the latest generation of iPhones. In a video shared by ANI, the line at Select City Walk extended across the entire mall, showcasing the continued enthusiasm for Apple’s devices.

The iPhone 16 series, which includes the iPhone 16, iPhone 16 Plus, iPhone 16 Pro, and iPhone 16 Pro Max, has already generated significant demand. According to reports, over 37 million iPhone models were reserved during the pre-sale period before today’s launch. This excitement mirrors the launch day scenes witnessed in other countries like the US, China, Australia, and South Korea, where the iPhone 16 lineup also went on sale today.

For the first time, Apple has announced plans to start assembling its iPhone Pro series in India, although these models will hit the shelves at a later date. Notably, the iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max are being sold at a lower price than last year’s models, mainly due to a reduction in import duties in the recent budget.

The pricing for the new models in India starts at ₹1,19,900 for the iPhone 16 Pro and ₹1,44,900 for the iPhone 16 Pro Max. This marks a reduction from the starting price of ₹1,34,900 for the iPhone 15 Pro and ₹1,59,900 for the iPhone 15 Pro Max.

As the iPhone 16 series officially launches across nearly 60 countries, including India, the buzz surrounding the new devices continues to grow, underscoring Apple’s massive fan base and the popularity of its flagship product.
