Ranchi: In a coordinated operation, Military Intelligence and the Jharkhand Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) conducted a joint raid at Shri Ganesh Army Store near Booty More in Ranchi, following a tip-off from Lucknow Military Intelligence.

Fake army uniforms seized during raid

Sources confirmed that during the raid, several unauthorized combat uniforms and fake army clothing were recovered from the shop. Preliminary findings suggest that these counterfeit uniforms were being sold to civilians without any official clearance.

Security threat amid Indo-Pak tensions

The timing of the raid is critical as tensions between India and Pakistan remain high. Security agencies fear that such fake uniforms could potentially fall into the hands of anti-national elements, posing a serious threat to national security.

Investigation underway

Authorities are now probing the supply chain and those involved in the production and distribution of these uniforms. The investigation aims to uncover who is behind the illegal trade and whether the materials were intended for any subversive or terror-related activities.
