New Delhi, Sept 14: Mitchell Starc, Mitchell Marsh and Mitchell Starc will not play in the next T20I series against India. Prior to that, Australia selected the same teams for both the T20 World Cup and the T20 International series against India.

Mitchell Marsh had an ankle injury, and Starc is dealing with a knee ailment. On the other hand, Stoinis has a side strain. The Tony Ireland Stadium ODI series, which consisted of three games against Regis Chakabva’s Zimbabwe, featured all three of the sport’s top players.

In the meanwhile, Sean Abbott, Daniel Sams, and Nathan Ellis will took the place of the injured trio for the trip to India.

Notably, the three T20Is between Australia and India are scheduled to take place on September 20, 23 and 25 at Mohali, Nagpur and Hyderabad respectively.

Starc, Stoinis, and Marsh are anticipated to be healthy in time for Australia’s home T20 World Cup campaign. Australia just defeated Zimbabwe at home 2-1 despite losing the third and decisive game of the series. Australia, the defending champions, will host the T20 World Cup in Australia. At Dubai International Cricket Stadium, the Australians, spearheaded by Aaron Finch, defeated New Zealand in the championship game last year.

Australia squad for India T20I series:

Aaron Finch (c), Sean Abbott, Ashton Agar, Pat Cummins, Tim David, Nathan Ellis, Cameron Green, Josh Hazlewood, Josh Inglis, Glenn Maxwell, Kane Richardson, Daniel Sams, Steve Smith, Matthew Wade, Adam Zampa.
