Enforcement Directorate has once again summoned Maharashtra Transport Minister and Shiv Sena leader Anil Parab on September 28. Parab was earlier called for questioning by the ED on August 29, but he had sought 14 days’ time citing certain commitments as a public servant and as a minister of state for Maharashtra.
The summons came days after a viral video clip surfaced in which Parab can be seen ordering police officers to arrest Union Minister Narayan Rane without delay.
Interestingly, Parab has filed a petition in the Bombay High Court against BJP leader and former MP Kirit Somaiya, two days ago, claiming defamation of Rs 100 crores. However, BJP leader Kirit Somaiya had accused Anil Parab of building an illegal hotel in Dapoli, Konkan. Somaiya had also publicly accused Parab of running a transfer racket in the transport department.
