Four people have been made accused in the FIR filed at Ichak police station, case number 172/22 section 302.  The police assured that the other absconding accused would be arrested soon.

Monika, the daughter of a disabled farmer Mithilesh Mehta, resident of Sijua village in Ichak, was murdered by the accused Mahindra Finance loan recovery agent as they crushed her with a tractor.

Mithilesh had purchased the tractor on loan from Mahindra Finance in the year 2018. Due to the non-availability of work during the lockdown, six installments of Rs 14,300 monthly were outstanding which the company had made Rs 1,30,000. The agents reached Sijua to take away the tractor but were stopped by Monika who was then crushed to death by them.
