Moose Wala murder accused gangster Deepak escapes from police custody

New Delhi, Oct 2: Deepak alias Tinu, accused of murdering Punjabi singer Sidhu Moose Wala, escaped from police custody on Saturday. Agents of the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) took him somewhere around 11 o’clock when the gangster used the opportunity to escape.

Notably, Deepak is a close aide of gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, who is behind the murder of Sidhu Moose Wala. Deepak’s name was on the charge sheet which listed 15 people as shooters, planners and others involved in the murder.

Sidhu Moose Wala was shot dead in Punjab’s Mansa district on May 29, a day after the state government cut his security cover. His cousin and a friend traveling with him in the jeep were also injured in the attack.
