Mortal remains of Jagarnath Mahto reach Jharkhand assembly premises

Last rite will be done at 1pm at Bokaro

Ranchi, April 7: The mortal remains of Education Minister Jagarnath Mahto reached Ranchi airport. From there, the body was directly brought to the Jharkhand Assembly, where he was paid tribute with state honours.

The dead body of Jagarnath Mahto was brought with full respect and wrapped in the tricolor. Everyone became inconsolable remembering Mahto.

Assembly Speaker Ravindra Nath Mahato, Chief Minister Hemant Soren, Ministers Badal Patralekh, Banna Gupta, Champai Soren, Alamgir Alam, BJP Legislature Party Leader Babulal Marandi, Union Minister of State Annapurna Devi, MLAs Saryu Rai, Vinod Singh, Congress Working President Bandhu Tirkey Many MLAs and leaders including MLA Anoop Singh paid tribute to him.

The body of Jagarnath Mahto was taken from the assembly to JMM’s central office in Harmu for the last darshan and tribute. After this, the body was taken to his native village, in Chandrapura block of Bokaro, where he will be cremated with state honours at 1:00 pm. CM Hemant Soren will also participate in the last journey. The last rites will be done by his son, Akhilesh Mahto alias Raju Mahto.

Regarded as tiger, Mahto for his commitment and strong will power passed away while receiving treatment at Apollo Hospital in Chennai, where he was admitted on March 14 this year due to lungs problems. He had lung transplant surgery in the same hospital but it did not work long.
