Lakhimpur Kheri, Dec 15: Minister of State for Home Affairs Ajay Mishra Teni on Wednesday lost his temper and abuses a journalist when asked about charges against his son Ashish, who is jailed in connection with the Lakhimpur Kheri violence.

In a purported video of Ajay Kumar Mishra who was attending an event in his constituency in north-central Uttar Pradesh, is seen losing his temper and can be heard saying that media persons ‘are thieves’ who make ‘false allegations’ which leads to arrests of innocent people. He can be heard saying, “Don’t you feel ashamed?” In the video, he was also seen attempting to hit the journalist.

Notably, the Special Investigation Team (SIT) probing the case on Tuesday termed the Lakhimpur Kheri violence as a ‘pre-planned conspiracy’. On October 3, eight people were killed in this violence including four farmers and a journalist.

Earlier in the day, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi gave an adjournment of business notice in the Lok Sabha to discuss the report submitted by the SIT of the UP police on the Lakhimpur Kheri violence.
