Motion of Thanks, budget discussion to continue in Parliament

New Delhi, Feb 10: The reply to the motion of thanks on the President’s address will prolong on Friday along with debate on the union budget 2023.

Congress’ Ravneet Singh and Bahujan Samaj Party’s (BSP) Ramshiromani Verma will present a report by the committee on absence of members from sittings of the house.

The reports of the department-related parliamentary standing committee on communications and information technology (2022-23) will also be presented by Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) Anil Agrawal and Kartikeya Sharma.

Another report of the committee on ‘Review of pending assurances pertaining to the ministry of minority affairs, ministry of chemicals and fertilizers and requests for dropping of assurances will be presented by Rajendra Agrawal and Khagen Murmu.

BJP’s Nihal Chand Chauhan and BSP’s Shyam Singh Yadav will also discuss the observations contained in the twenty sixth report of the committee on ‘Estimates and Performance Review of All India Services’. Parliament’s budget session will go for its first recess on February 14 with Friday marking the penultimate day.
