Official sources said the incident occurred around 5.30 am the Muharram Tazia was  taken out from Khetko  village based  Dargah Muhalla  Imambad for Karbala. On the way, the Tazia  came in contact of high  tension ( 11000 volt) live wires  in which its battery  exploded.
Four persons died on the spot from electric shock while  dozen participants of the Tazia procession got injured.

First, the injured  persons were taken to nearby DVC Thermal power  hospital where doctors referred critical patients to Bokaro General Hospital.
The family members of injured  persons alleged that since neither  Bermo divisional administrative officers nor  any police official reached the spot as well as DVC hospital, they had to face  undue delay in taking away injured persons to Bokaro hospital as there was no ambulance available there.
