Mumbai, July 13: A Special court in Mumbai on Wednesday approved the plea seeking the return of Aryan Khan’s passport, who has got a clean chit from the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) in the last year’s drugs-on-cruise case.
Notably, Aryan Khan was given a clean chit by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) in the chargesheet, and Special NDPS Judge VV Patil approved the return of his passport and cancellation of bail bond after hearing from the parties today.
However, because NCB strongly objected to the relief of ‘discharge’ that Khan had requested in his plea, the Court did not give it.
When the Bombay High Court granted Khan bail in the cruise ship drug case on October 28, 2021, it said that he had to comply with the requirement by depositing his passport with the Special Court under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act.
Khan was granted bail by Justice Nitin Sambre, who also instructed him to give his passport to the Special Court as soon as he was freed on bail. Khan was subsequently awarded a clean bill of health by the Narcotics Control Bureau in May of this year (NCB). He then went to the Court to ask for the release of his passport.
