Mumbai, Dec 10: One more case of Omicron has been found in Dharavi area of Mumbai on Friday. The infected person had recently returned from Tanzania and now has been admitted at SevenHills Hospital, informed the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation, BMC.
“The patient is asymptomatic and is not vaccinated. Two people who had come to receive the patient have been traced as well, “ said BMC.
Earlier, two other people in Gujarat have tested positive for the Omicron Covid variant today. A total of four states and Delhi have reported cases of Omicron in the country so far. These include Maharashtra, Delhi, Gujarat, Karnataka, and Rajasthan.
Meanwhile, Dr VK Paul, Member-Health, NITI Aayog said on Friday that, “WHO is warning against the decline in mask usage. Global scene of Omicron is disturbing. We are now operating at a risky and unacceptable level. We have to remember that both vaccines and masks are important.”
