Dhanbad Oct 22: Muslim body in Dhanbad on Friday denounced atrocities on Hindus as well as attacks on temples in Bangladesh and demanded immediate protection for them.

After the Friday prayer, the Muslim community of AJP Kalam Colony Wasseypur held a meeting at Kalai Bagan and strongly protested the ongoing vandalism of temples and atrocities on the Hindu community in Bangladesh.

Mushtaque Ahmed Khan, President of AJP Kalam Colony’s Muslim Committee, chaired the meeting and said that the Muslim members of India are shocked and sad over the incident taking place in Bangladesh. Whatever is happening there is wrong and Indian minority community members denounce it in strong words.

“We urge the Bangladesh government to check the attack on the Hindu community immediately and provide them security,” he added.

He also said since the attack on Hindu families and temples is being done under a conspiracy to spread hatred, the Bangladesh government should take stern action against the miscreants in such conditions.

The Muslim body said that people of the world community are one and all of them should respect each other’s religion.

Nayyar Parvez, on the occasion, said that Muslim community members of India are united with their Hindu brothers and would not tolerate attacks on them and their temples in Bangladesh.

“A few people are behind it and the Bangladesh government should punish the culprits after identifying them,” he added.

The committee also announced that they will send a memorandum in protest to the Bangladesh government through the Delhi embassy.
